💬 A Gummy Creation Too Far
This last week, we made our most difficult creation yet: a computer monitor made entirely out of gummy bears. This thing took days to plan and prepare for, and let me tell you, it wasn’t easy!
3D printing the monitor took about 7 hours at the size it was, but as seen in the video, it began to float due to how light (and filled with air) it was. So we printed another one. This time, we filled the inside with rice as it printed to weigh it down, then super glued it to the mold frame.
In total, it took us over 5lbs of gummy bears to fill this thing up.

And while this thing was thick, and super sturdy (unlike the mouse we made previously that turned into a pancake), it still eventually succumbed to gravity.

A day and a half later…
And now it’s a wide screen monitor.

🎄🍪 Make Gingerbread With Me This Holiday Season
Every year, I am obsessed with gingerbread! So as a tradition, I make it for friends, loved ones, parties, etc! And this recipe specifically is a special one. Martha Stewart gingerbread was a staple in our household as kids. This gingerbread is super stable and flavourable at the same time, and over the years I’ve made a couple adjustments along the way so they come out absolutely perfect each time! So I’ll be enjoying my Christmas cookies this year, how bout you?

🎉 Community Highlights
We’ve got a few good things this week that I wanted to highlight!

Recently a member on our discord drew our profile picture. I always love receiving fan art from you guys and just wanted to highlight it here since I think it looks so cute!

We actually get this question a lot. Do I eat all the food? What do we do with the leftovers? How does making all these sweets not make me sick when I have to eat them all?
Well the answer is as simple as: I share! Almost everything we make, we share with family and friends. Food isn’t just something we do, it’s something I really appreciate. Sharing with the people I love is one of the ways I like show I care, and one of the ways I love to connect with people.
Obviously not everything is savable. If a recipe gets messed up, we try to reuse the parts that we can, but sometimes there are things that just need to be tossed. Everyone makes mistakes, and we aren’t above that either.
But we try to only buy what we need (sometimes meaning we make multiple grocery runs in a day), and just all around respect the work that went into growing and caring for the plants and animals we end up consuming. 😊
Until next time!
